Old Hickory x Jackson's Hideaway

During the 2020 pandemic, Old Hickory worked with the management at Jackson’s Hideaway (Park City, UT) and an interior designer to create a relaxed, modern and comfortable private ski lounge at the base of Park City Resort. The lounge layout and decor came from the vision of the designer and incorporated classic Old Hickory items (32K Two Hoop Chairs, 64D Tavern Chairs and 956B Swivel Barstools) mixed with custom Old Hickory products. The modern vibe was created using a smoother Tahoe Bark texture along with an extra dark ebony stain on a variety of wood species (hickory, oak, walnut, and hard rock maple). The upholstered items featured newly introduced Pendleton/Sunbrella performance fabrics to give a classic, yet fresh feeling. The highlights of the space are the 32K Two Hoop Chairs that were made with a slightly lower arm height to fit farther under the dining tables. Two Hoop chairs are perfect for almost any setting and can be upholstered or woven and are our most comfortable chairs. The other highlights are the Hideaway Club Chairs made with a combination of hickory sapling frame, with leather straps and soft faux sheepskin fabric. The most beautiful item is probably the walnut buffet that features solid walnut cabinet along with live edge walnut doors. Overall, the project was a great success, and the expanding ski lounge will soon be looking for more great pieces.

The current Old Hickory products that can be found at the Hideaway are the 32K Two Hoop Chair, the 64D Tavern Chair, the OHSTOOL, the AT204 Whiskey Table, the BKLYNTBL Brooklyn Reclaimed Dining Table, the WCH109 Wingback Ottoman and the 956B Swivel Barstool. In order to effectively fit the lounge, the dimensions of each of these existing products were modified. Whereas, the Old Hickory custom pieces include the Hideaway Club Chair, the walnut buffet, the solid oak lockers, and the tables with hard rock maple tops.
